2019工业互联网全球峰会10月18日在辽宁沈阳召开。国家主席习近平致贺信。习近平指出，中国高度重视工业互联网创新发展，愿同国际社会一道，持续提升工业互联网创新能力，推动工业化与信息化在更广范围、更深程度、更高水平上实现融合发展。

President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the Industrial Internet Global Summit that opened Friday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China’s Liaoning province. China attaches great importance to the innovative development of the industrial internet, Xi said, adding that China is willing to work with the international community to enhance the innovation capability of the industrial internet, so as to realize the integrated development of industrialization and informatization on a broader, deeper and higher level.

The internet, big data and artificial intelligence (AI), and the real economy should be interconnected. Industrialization and the use of information should be integrated deeper.

A community of shared future in cyberspace

第六届世界互联网大会10月20日在浙江乌镇开幕。国家主席习近平致贺信。习近平指出，各国应顺应时代潮流，勇担发展责任，共迎风险挑战，共同推进网络空间全球治理，努力推动构建网络空间命运共同体。

President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 6th World Internet Conference, which opened Sunday in the town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang province. Countries should follow the trend of the times, shoulder the responsibility for development, meet the challenges and risks, jointly promote global governance in cyberspace and strive to build a community of shared future in cyberspace, Xi said.

港珠澳大桥

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

10月23日，港珠澳大桥正式开通一周年。一年间，大桥客流量超过1400万人次，车辆超过150万辆次。港珠澳大桥是世界上最长的跨海大桥。

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has seen over 14 million passengers as well as 1.5 million vehicles as of Wednesday, which marks the one year anniversary of the opening of the world's longest cross-sea bridge.

对港珠澳大桥这样的重大工程，既要高质量建设好，全力打造精品工程、样板工程、平安工程、廉洁工程，又要用好管好大桥，为粤港澳大湾区建设发挥重要作用。

We expect the UN to play its leading role in upholding fairness and justice, safeguarding world peace and promoting common development, especially in deepening global cooperation and in tackling challenges facing the world.

2019年9月至2020年12月，最高人民检察院、国家市场监督管理总局、国家药品监督管理局在全国联合开展落实食品药品安全专项行动，落实最严格的监管及最严厉的处罚。

Chinese authorities have launched a national food safety campaign, requiring the "strictest" supervision over the food sector and the "harshest" penalties for violations. The crackdown, which runs from September 2019 to December 2020, was initiated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) in collaboration with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Medical Products Administration.

清除“僵尸企业”

Eliminate“zombie companies”

国务院国有资产监督管理委员会表示，根据2016年底推出的三年工作计划，我国通过破产关停、合并重组等方式已经清除了国有企业系统95%的“僵尸企业”。

China has eliminated 95 percent of "zombie companies" in its State-owned enterprise system via bankruptcy closures, mergers and reorganization through a three-year program launched at the end of 2016, a senior State asset regulator said.
